The clock now ticks beautifully and strikes at the half and full hours. Of the mechanism has been carried out (see photos). Overhaul ultrasonically and necessary repairment. The movement is either 8- or 14 days (I really cannot count for all the clocks under testing). It has been dated to around 1900, most likely before 1900, with an internal counter wheel for the striking. A classic matching two-sectioned R-A pendulum swings and regulates the time. Two blackened, framed, original steel hands are used to pointing to the time. The black cross-arrow logo was printed on the inner brass plate. The enamel chapter ring is in excellent condition. The two-parted dial is separated by two gilded bronze rings, consisting of a circular enamel chapter ring with black Roman numerals showing the time and a central embossed brass plate. The case has been subject to careful polished and waxed, from inside outside, is presented in splendid, shiny, attractive antique condition. All the finials are present and believed to be original. Please look at the photos for details of the decorative features of the hand-carved/painted wood works, from the top, side, to the bottom. The single side hooked front door has a large flat glass to reveal the dial and pendulum swings, and two sides glass to show case the movements. The all-solid wood case (Mahogany for front and pine for back) has glasses at three sides to show off/protect its bronze movement, the two sectioned circular enamel/bronze dial and original matching R&A pendulum. It will be an eye-catching piece of antique nicely fitting to any living room wall. It is truly presented in excellent antique condition, in great working order. It decorative details has been repaired/restored, and waxed carefully to reflect its previous splendid glory, whilst attempting to maintain its century long patina with lovely colour tone.
